Hey guys! So this is an honest review about a shoe company that I purchased from. This isn't an advertisement or anything like that. I just felt like sharing some of my thoughts about the brand and my experience with them as a customer.

What in the hell is Taft?

There I was living my best life, scrolling through social media when I saw an advertisement for a company called Taft. My curiosity got the best of me and I started scrolling through their website looking at all the amazing shoes and boots that they were offering. Handcrafted in Spain, high quality leather, stylish...it's basically everything a man wants and more! But there was one huge factor that threw me off. Pricing.

If you know me, you know that I HATE spending money on clothes and shoes. I personally love buying stuff, but I'm a very dedicated thrifter. I have a personal rule that if something is over $10, I'm not buying it. The only exception I make is for shoes, but it sure as hell wasn't a $200 exception! The selection at Taft was ranging between $250-$400 per pair. Right then and there I decided that I was never going to own a pair because I could never justify spending that much money on a pair of shoes...UNTIL I found out about their Seconds Sale.

What's a Second?

A second means that it's a pair of shoes that are usually a prototype that's been slightly damaged or defected. Instead of chucking these shoes out the window, Taft sells them at 40% off. Most of them have very minor flaws.

So if I was ever going to get a pair of Taft boots, the Seconds Sale was my best bet. Not sure why, but I had money in my bank account and I wanted to treat myself. I remember the sale happened some time around October because that's my birth month and that's how I justified going to buy a pair of boots. I ended up justifying a little too much and ended up buying not one, but TWO pairs because that's basically how much one pair costs. FMFL. And just like that, I had to rethink my budget for the rest of the month.

Is it worth it?

Even though they were seconds, they have held up very nicely. You can definitely see the quality in the boot. I only have one complaint about the boots. They are freaking annoying to take on and off because of the laces! Haha. Maybe they can add a zipper? Overall, I love them. I wear them all the time. If you're broke like me, just wait until a Seconds Sale. You won't regret it!

I ended up buying the Saint Boot and the Troy Boot. They have plenty of different styles and colors that I'm sure you'll vibe with. So feel free to check it out @taft
